| Synopsis |
| Jeff Mulkey peers out of his cabin window at the blizzard. Five years ago he was in a car accident on a snow-covered highway, an accident that took the lives of a mother and her daughter. That’s why Jeff moved with his wife, Mary, to this cabin in the mountains, far away from people. Now as the blizzard rages, there is a tap on the door. A man enters and says he got lost hunting. As he sips coffee, he tells them the story of a man who had a wife and daughter. They couldn’t get along so she took the child and left. Finally, she started back to him, had an accident in a snow storm and she and the daughter were killed. The husband swore revenge. It slowly dawns on Jeff and Mary that they are trapped with the crazed husband. Suddenly, the door flies open and in walks a woman and girl. The woman stares at the hunter and their eyes meet for an instant. When Mary and Jeff return from the kitchen, they find the room empty. Mary peers out and gasps. Although three people left, there’s only one set of tracks in the snow. |
