| Synopsis |
| Everyone knows the story of Romeo and Juliet, but few realize that the "greatest love story of all time" takes place only over six days. That's right, Romeo and Juliet fall in love, marry and die all with within six days of meeting each other! Romeo and Juliet: Six Very Busy Days riotously re-imagines the misadvertur'd piteous overthrows of the iconic star-cross'd lovers. Farcically irreverent yet surprisingly faithful to Shakespeare's language and storyline, Romeo and Juliet: Six Very Busy Days blurs the line between slapstick and educational drama the same way Romeo and Juliet blurs the line between comedy and tragedy. Fast-paced and fun, this play may be performed by a handful of actors or dozens and dozens. It can also be staged simply and affordably - or as elaborately as desired! |
